between two acts.

The literal translation of entr’acte might be simple enough, but what does it mean for Austin — and for those of us in the capital city who’ve fallen deeply in love with musical theatre?

In 2022, we saw an opportunity to bring together professional artists from the Central Texas region in pursuit of musical theatre excellence. Over the last 2 seasons, we're proud to have produced a concert series unlike anything Austin has experienced.

Our inaugural Entr’acte season offered up three fully realized concerts, featuring beloved musical theatre titles that don’t often bask in the limelight. In 2025, our third season brings three more fantastic concerts to Austin, each one a love letter to its musical’s score, bringing new life to songs you know and love while introducing others that might be less familiar. We think you’ll find Entr’acte to be an experience that’s not to be missed.

Continued in 2025 is BarLine: Cabaret Off the Cuff! We’re thrilled to introduce this exciting offering to our audiences, when we’ll feature some of Austin’s brightest talents in unrehearsed cabarets backed by a full combo. We invite you to explore our site to learn more about options to join us for an entire concert season or an individual performance. Table seating, inclusive of artisanal charcuterie service by Bluebonnet Collective, and a commemorative gift celebrating each concert, is available at seasonal concert rates, as are General Admission tickets to each performance.

An entr’acte might be thought of as the overture to a musical’s second act. In this, our second season, it’s our goal to fuse local talent with lesser-performed musicals in magnificent ways. In so doing, we hope to provide each score its own “second act.” The house lights are dimming; time to find your seat!
